NOURNEWS- Iranian Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian met and talked with Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the president of Turkey.
In this meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran congratulated the National Day of Turkey and conveyed the greetings of Ayatollah Raisi, the president of Iran, to the President of Turkey furthermore, Amir-Abdollahian referred to the recent phone conversation between the two Presidents and thanked Erdoğan for his recent strong and passionate support and also the vast support of the Turkish people for the oppressed people of Gaza.
While referring to the Zionist regime's war crimes against the defenseless people of Gaza, Amir-Abdollahian said: While the US government is directly involved in supporting and managing the Zionist regime's brutal attacks against the oppressed people of Palestine and the regime's war crimes in Gaza, the CENTCOM's commander and the US military commanders are present in the War room operations in Tel Aviv, the US advises others to exercise restraint.
Iranian FM added: America, as a party to the war against Gaza, is not in a position to advise others to exercise restraint.
Amir-Abdollahian emphasized that the resistance movements in the region decide independently and if the war against the defenseless people of Gaza is not stopped immediately, there is a risk of expansion of the scope of war and conflict in the region at any moment, and the responsibility for its consequences lies directly with the American government and the Zionist regime.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran also continued and said: Palestinian resistance movements have told us that they do not have a problem in terms of military facilities and the ability to continue a long battle and a powerful confrontation with the Zionist regime, however, considering the focus of the Zionist regime's attacks on defenseless citizens and full-scale siege on Gaza, it is necessary for Islamic countries to take immediate and effective action to end the war crimes of the Zionist regime, lift the blockade of Gaza and send humanitarian aid to Gaza, and in this regard, the Islamic Republic of Iran emphasizes the necessity of holding an urgent meeting of the leaders of Islamic and Arab countries.
In this meeting, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan conveyed his greetings to his Iranian counterpart, Ayatollah Raisi, and by referring to the recent telephone conversation with him about the developments in Palestine, he explained Turkey's point of view regarding the current crisis in Palestine and said: Turkey's priority is to stop the attacks on Gaza, reaching a ceasefire, the lifting of the blockade of Gaza and the sending of humanitarian aid are necessary, and it is necessary to work to create mechanisms that ensure the security of the people of Palestine.
In this meeting, some issues related to the bilateral cooperation of the two countries in various fields, especially economic and commercial, were discussed and opinions were exchanged.
