Iraqi sources have announced the visit of the head of the Patriotic Union of Iraqi Kurdistan to Iran.

NOURNEWS- Bafel Talabani, head of the Patriotic Union of Iraqi Kurdistan, arrived in Tehran this Sunday, 10 September 2023 at the head of a high-ranking delegation from this party.

According to this report, Talabani is going to have important meetings with the officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran during this trip.

Recently, Iraqi National Security Adviser Qassem Al-Araji has said: Baghdad is making a lot of efforts to implement the provisions of the security agreement with Iran. Iraq emphasizes on its desire and determination to strengthen the relations between the two neighboring countries in a way that benefits the nation and the country and strengthens stability and security in the region.

Almutalee’s website recently reported that Tehran, Baghdad, and Erbil have signed a tripartite agreement for expelling separatist Kurdish terrorist elements and groups from the Kurdistan region of Iraq to the western regions of the country.

Almutalee’s website quoted diplomatic and political sources in Iraq and wrote that according to the said tripartite agreement signed between the government of Iran on the one hand and the government of Iraq and the authorities of the Kurdistan Region, the separatist Kurdish terrorists must hand over all their weapons and go to the western regions of Iraq together with their families.

Diplomatic sources emphasized that this Iran-Iraq agreement will come into effect after the six-month deadline that was previously set between Tehran and Baghdad.

According to the aforementioned sources, according to the Iran-Iraq agreement, 19 September 2023 has been set as the last deadline for resolving the case of separatist Kurdish terrorists and to deport them from Iran's border areas to the designated camps.

Previously, General Mohammad Pakpour, the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' Ground Forces, had asked Iraq to expel Kurdish separatist terrorists located in the country's territory, and he has talked on the possibility of targeting the headquarters of these separatist elements in the coming months, unless they adhere to the agreement of the two parties.
