NOURNEWS- For several days, the news headlines of many media outlets around the world is focused on what happened to the commander of the "Wagner" group in Russia.
Many people previously knew the Wagner group, with titles such as "the Russian version of Blackwater"
Like its American counterpart, "Blackwater", Wagner is a private army in the service of the Russian government, which until a few days ago was commanded by Yevgeny Prigozhin, who used to be Vladimir Putin's personal chef.
Prigozhin, as one of the trusted oligarchs of the power structure in Russia, not long ago, in the middle of the Ukrainian war, with a very strange action and under the pretext of the betrayal of Russian army’s official betrayal of Putin, in a coup-like operation after capturing the city of Rostov, Prigozhin sent his forces towards Moscow.
The commander of the Wagner group, who considered himself and his group to be the heroes of the Ukrainian war due to their special and effective role in the Ukrainian war, at least since last March, he clearly considered the commanders of the Russian National Army traitors and had a disagreement with them.
He clearly considered Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and Valery Gerasimov, the head of the Joint Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, to be responsible for the field failures in the Ukraine war because of their false reports regarding the battlefield in Ukraine to Kremlin palace and Russian officials.
However; with the mediation of "Alexander Lukashenko" the president of Belarus and an ally of "Vladimir Putin", at least in appearance, Prigozhin’s coup ended after only 48 hours, Lukashenko’s reason for mediation was to resolve what was going to challenge the power structure in Russia in the middle of the war from within.
There were a lot of speculations and evidences since then, which made it very difficult to accept the end of the story.
Last Wednesday evening, the first of September, only two months after Wagner's rebellion, a news bomb, which some did not consider unexpected, suddenly exploded, and the Russian media reported that Yevgeny Prigozhin’s private jet had crashed in the sky of Tver, 160 km from Moscow.
From the very beginning of the publication of this news, many speculations were raised regarding the details of the story, and whether Prigozhin was killed or not, and the flood of analysis and speculation, which is still ongoing, raised all kinds of possibilities.
There were gossips among media outlets about explosion of a bomb embedded in the plane or saying the Prigozhin’s plane crash was caused by a surface-to-air missile or in some cases there were few gossips regarding Prigozhin’s death being a play and an act of deception, but the common denominator of all the news and analysis, mostly in the West, was the emphasis on Putin's revenge against Commander Wagner.
In addition to this baseless news, there were statements regarding the involvement of Ukrainians and Americans in this incident, but not to the extent and strength of Putin's accusations. Logically, because of Wagner's deadly field strikes against the Ukrainian army, removal of Prigozhin was also desirable for the West and Ukraine.
Beyond that, before Putin's official condolences to Prigozhin's family and of course the announcement of the results of the DNA test of his body, some media outlets and analysts were talking about a deception operation similar to the incident on October 13, 2019, in the Congo and considered the fact that he was killed to be an act of deception.
Meanwhile, On the one hand, the personal relations between Putin and Prigozhin and two very important interviews of these two made the process of solving this mystery even more complicated.
Recently, Prigozhin said in an interview with Semyon Pegov, a Russian military blogger; I would rather be killed than lie to the people of my country. Putin also said clearly in a TV interview that the only thing he cannot forgive is "betrayal".
However, based on rational way of thinking and the provided evidence, any accusation is void without providing the needed proof and evidence, and so far, no documentary nor evidence has been provided regarding the reasons or the way of Prigozhin's plane crash.
However, it seems; Prigozhin’s mystery is one of the topics that has a conflicted and thorny path to its analysis. This mystery will remain an unanswered secret in the political history of the world.
