The new dimensions of the West's empty promises to the Ukrainians

Now, in the most critical circumstances of the war, and while Zelenskyy and the Ukrainian army are more and more caught in the trap that NATO has spread for them, Jens Stoltenberg has set an impossible condition for Kyiv's membership in NATO; Victory in the war against Russia!

NOURNEWS - In an urgent trip to Kyiv, the Secretary General of NATO called for the continuation of the war at any cost and warned against any bilateral diplomatic negotiations between Russia and Ukraine with the aim of ending the war.

On the mentioned trip, Jens Stoltenberg considered the main position of Ukraine in the heart of the NATO Treaty and called the membership of this war-torn country in NATO completely possible and plausible!

But now, in the most critical circumstances of the war, and while Zelenskyy and the Ukrainian army are more and more caught in the trap that NATO has spread for them, Jens Stoltenberg has set an impossible condition for Kyiv's membership in NATO; Victory in the war against Russia!

In other words, and to put it more clearly; NATO has officially played Zelenskyy and has now openly withdrawn its past promises to Ukraine.

At the end of September 2022, that is, seven months after the start of Russia's special military operation in the Donbas region, the President of Ukraine announced; Kyiv has submitted a request to quickly join NATO defensive treaty.

In fact, the member countries of the NATO have put their hands on an impossible proposition, which cannot be realized due to the current field and metatextual conditions in the war.

On the one hand, the NATO member countries have turned Ukraine into a scorched earth by making empty promises, and on the other hand, they have blocked Kyiv's membership in the North Atlantic Treaty, and in this double strategy against Ukraine, the American authorities are also fully aligned with the Europeans.

This is the double-losing game that the West has imposed on its members in Kyiv, and Zelenskyy is more guilty than anyone else for playing this game in recent years and months, and one day he will definitely have to admit to this terrible mistake. and he will surely do.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine announced a few days ago that it will not accept any decision other than inviting Kyiv to join NATO at the upcoming meeting of the heads of this alliance, which is scheduled to be held in Lithuania on the 11th and 12th of July.

John Kirby, Coordinator for Strategic Communications at the National Security Council in the White House, emphasized Washington's support for the open-door policy for NATO but he said: Ukraine's membership in this military alliance must be agreed upon by all members.

The latest estimations show that at least 11 members out of 29 NATO members will not accept Kyiv's membership even if the war in Ukraine ends at this moment, so the story of Ukraine's membership in NATO has become a continuous and endless story like Turkey's membership in the European Union has been for past few years.

From Austria, France, and Greece to Hungary, Bulgaria, and Romania, they believe that Ukraine's membership in the North Atlantic Treaty will be synonymous with imposing heavy costs in the two fields of deterrence and action for this security-military complex.
