We will oppose the US plan to revive terrorism in the region

Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council: Recent US actions to strengthen and expand ISIS terrorist activities in the region and attacking the anti-terrorist forces of resistance are the beginning of a new round of organized terrorism.

NOURNEWS - During a meeting with Iraqi Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein, Admiral Ali Shamkhani referred to the recent US moves in Iraq and said that the delay in implementing the law passed by the Iraqi parliament on the withdrawal of foreign troops from Iraq had increased tensions and escalated the crisis in the region.

Shamkhani also referred to the miserable situation of the oppressed people of Yemen, which evokes a kind of genocide; Announced Iran's readiness to cooperate in ending the four-year war in this country.

During the meeting, Iraqi Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein presented a report on the recent political and security developments in Iraq and said: "Security and stability are the foundation of economic development and prosperity, and for a country like Iraq, which has been fighting terrorism and insecurity for years, security is the first priority.

Referring to the agreements reached between the officials of the two countries to pay the Iraqi debt to Iran, which has been delayed due to foreign sanctions, he said:"With the continuous efforts of the financial and banking sectors and the economic institutions of Iran and Iraq, some important obstacles have been removed and based on the model agreed between the two countries, the debt repayment process begins.
