Eye to Eye Exhibition’s warm welcome reflects Iranians’ taste for art, culture

The Eye to Eye Exhibition is one of the most significant artistic events in recent years in Tehran, drawing an unprecedented number of visitors. Certain sources claim it is the most visited exhibition in Iran since the establishment of the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art in 1977. The exhibition, which began on June 27, will run until December 23.

Around 130 priceless works by Iranian and foreign artists, including Salvador Dalí, Pablo Picasso, Francis Bacon, Andy Warhol, Kamal-ol-Molk, Aydin Aghdashlou, and Bahman Mohasses, are on display.

The exhibition showcases a variety of styles, from expressionism and surrealism to pop art and realism. Tehran’s Museum of Contemporary Art is a treasure trove of Iranian and international masterpieces.

For the first time in many years, the museum is displaying rare works that have long been kept in storage.
