During a telephone conversation with Baerbock on Monday, Amir-Abdollahian described the powerful operation carried out by the Iranian armed forces against the Israeli regime on Saturday night as a "precise" and "least" attack on military centers, noting that the operation was a retaliation for the Israeli attack on Iran's consulate in Damascus, Syria.
While condemning Germany's support for the Zionist regime, the top Iranian diplomat warned that "if the Israeli regime wants to continue its adventurous moves, the retaliatory action will be swift and large-scale."
Amir-Abdollahian reiterated that the purpose of the Islamic Republic of Iran in conducting the attack was to warn the Israeli regime to understand the outcomes of crossing Iran's red lines.
He hoped that instead of condemning Iran's legitimate actions, Germany would focus on stopping the war in Gaza and establishing peace and stability from the Mediterranean to the Red Sea.
For her part, Baerbock emphasized the importance of conducting as many talks as possible in the current dangerous time, highlighting the recent developments that have led to an increase in severe turbulence in the region and it shows that tensions are escalating. Therefore, she believes that joint efforts should be focused on preventing the escalation of tension.
She added, "We are trying every day to end this war and to lay the ground for achieving lasting peace."
