NOURNEWS - After a break of several days, the negotiating delegations returned to Vienna on Tuesday, Tuesday, to continue the eighth round of talks.
Earlier, it was announced that the eighth round of talks and the return of delegations to the capitals would be interrupted with the aim of further consultations in order to make political decisions.
Emphasis on the need to make political decisions in the capitals can be a sign that negotiations are nearing completion.
Naturally, if the parties considered the talks sufficient to reach an agreement, the delegations would return to the capitals to prepare for the finalization and implementation of the agreement, and not to make political decisions!
However, the spread of some media speculation in recent days has raised the level of hope for the imminent rise of white smoke from the negotiating room at the Coburg Hotel in Vienna.
But a careful assessment of the statements made by the officials of the countries present at the Vienna talks, including the officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran, shows the fact that the talks have reached a difficult stage, the passage of which inevitably requires "political decisions".
To be more precise, it can be concluded that; Negotiations have now reached important issues that the negotiations of experts and officials of the delegations in Vienna have not been able to form an understanding and reach a common approach to them, and it is necessary for high levels of decision-making in the capitals to decide in accordance with their strategic interests and policies.
On Monday, Admiral "Ali Shamkhani" the head of the National Security Agency of the Islamic Republic of Iran posted a meaningful tweet: "The agenda of the Iranian negotiators to continue the eighth round of talks has been carefully defined. An agreement in which the sanctions that form the maximum pressure are not lifted will condition the country's economy and cannot be the basis of a good deal."
The remarks of the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran show that Iran's firm position, which has already been emphasized, is the effective and verifiable lifting of economic sanctions and ensuring that policies similar to the Trump-era maximum pressure are not used, naturally, any agreement that does not have these characteristics is not desirable for the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Robert Malley, the US special envoy for Iran, said Sunday night, a few days after the US administration reactivated the three waived exemptions on Iran's nuclear program in the Trump administration; He will return to Vienna soon to pursue the talks, as Joe Biden has asked him to continue nuclear talks with Iran in Vienna. Iran, meanwhile, has said the recent US move is worthless and not only has no economic benefit for Tehran but is in line with the US demands to limit Iran's nuclear capabilities.
Although none of the negotiating officials has so far mentioned the nature of the existing disputes that need to be resolved through political decisions, an assessment of the indirect reactions provided by the parties shows that political decisions are not significantly different from previous approaches.
In the meantime, creating this expectation from Iran as a victim of the illegal actions of the United States and the negligence of the Europeans to give up the rights and benefits that according to JCPOA, while it is illegal, cannot be achieved.
The Islamic Republic of Iran, after the illegal withdrawal of the United States from the UN Security Council and the return of oppressive sanctions by adopting an active resistance policy, has passed through the main neck of economic problems with exemplary effort and patience of the people and is willing to accept a new agreement in the case that could make sure it is useful.
