Foreign Ministry dismisses allegations of Iran’s involvement in Saudi pipeline attack

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei has dismissed US allegations of Iran’s involvement in a recent attack from Iraqi soil that struck Saudi Arabia’s East-West oil pipeline, saying that Washington is making false claims to deepen disputes between regional countries and complicate the situation.

“There is absolutely no truth to the claim made by US officials regarding Iran’s involvement in these developments, and it is categorically denied,” Baqaei said on Monday during his weekly press conference in Tehran.

He added that the US continues to make false allegations to create divisions between countries in West Asia and complicate the situation amid tensions.

“Americans are constantly producing false news reports and making false claims at no cost to themselves; there is no doubt about that. In these circumstances, the fact that the United States keeps fabricating lies to deepen divisions among regional countries is one of the consequences of the issues facing our region, which the countries themselves must resolve among them. Otherwise, those who have no goodwill toward our region will continue to resort to such lies to further complicate the situation.”

Iran has no role in Yemen’s decisions

Responding to a question about the latest military advance by Yemen’s Ansarullah movement along the Red Sea coast, and whether Tehran plays a role in the movement’s decisions, the spokesperson said that Iran has no role in Yemen-related decisions, stressing that Ansarullah is an independent party that acts based on its own interests.

Baqaei said some parties are exploiting regional developments to deepen divisions among Muslim countries. He added that Yemen’s actions should be viewed in the context of years of attacks and blockade against the country, as well as repeated US and Israeli strikes over the past two years.

He stressed that maritime security and freedom of navigation must be ensured for all, urging regional countries to avoid unfounded accusations and focus on addressing the root causes of tensions.

IAEA chief’s distorted reports enable misuse

Baqaei said incomplete or distorted accounts of facts by the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) provide grounds for their misuse.

The spokesperson further said that responsibility for participation in or aiding an internationally wrongful act does not disappear over time, adding that Iran will continue documenting and explaining the issue.

He criticized the IAEA and its director general for allowing reports to be misused in support of last week’s resolution against Iran, saying the resolution was not based on the report itself but on its misuse.

Baqaei urged the IAEA chief to condemn US and Israeli attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities, which were carried out in 2025 and 2026 during the two wars of aggression conducted by Washington and Tel Aviv.

No nuclear activity at Kolang Gaz La Mountain

The Iranian diplomat dismissed claims of nuclear activity at Kolang Gaz La Mountain as media hype, saying they have no basis.

Baqaei said Iran had provided the IAEA with all information required under its safeguards obligations concerning the site. He noted that the location could not even be described as a nuclear facility in the safeguards sense.

He said the United States is using such claims as part of a media and psychological campaign against Iran, adding that despite decades of allegations about Iran’s nuclear program, the IAEA has never stated that Iran has been in non-compliance.
