The text of the statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran is as follows:
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran rejects and condemns all false claims and baseless accusations leveled against Iran in the final communiqué of the 166th session of the Arab League Council of Foreign Ministers.
At a time when the Zionist regime—as the primary source of evil and insecurity in West Asia—is committing military aggression, genocide, and war crimes in occupied Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, and other Arab-Islamic nations, the insistence of certain Arab League member states on leveling baseless accusations against Iran is entirely unjustifiable—especially when they should instead be focusing on supporting the Palestinian people and confronting the Zionist regime's occupation and expansionism.
Recalling its principled policy of good-neighborliness, the Islamic Republic of Iran emphasizes the importance of strengthening convergence among regional countries and avoiding positions that provoke tensions.
The Islamic Republic of Iran once again reaffirms its indisputable sovereignty over the islands of Abu Musa, Greater Tunb, and Lesser Tunb as integral parts of Iranian territory; while condemning any territorial claims in this regard, it asserts that Iran’s sovereignty over these islands is based on historical records, the continuous exercise of sovereign authority, and recognized principles of international law, and that the repetition of baseless claims in political statements will not alter the geographical, historical, and legal realities concerning these islands.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs categorically rejects the allegations regarding Iran's interference in Yemen's affairs. While consistently emphasizing the necessity of preserving Yemen's unity and territorial integrity, the Islamic Republic of Iran has supported Yemeni-Yemeni dialogue based on the agreed-upon roadmap.
While emphasizing Iran’s consistent commitment to the security of shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterates the clear fact that insecurity along the region's maritime routes is a direct result of US-Zionist military aggression; furthermore, the Islamic Republic of Iran, while adhering to international law, has adopted the necessary defensive measures to safeguard its national security and interests.
The Islamic Republic of Iran emphasizes that the security of the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman must be ensured through the cooperation of littoral states and without the interference of foreign powers; to this end, it declares its readiness for dialogue and cooperation with regional countries to foster mutual trust, achieve sustainable security, and promote economic progress for all nations in West Asia.
