The Iranian mission reacted on Sunday to a statement issued by the US Central Command (CENTCOM) claiming “precision and professionalism” of American forces in the attack on the Iranian vessel.
The message mocked CENTCOM for describing its act of aggression as “precision and professionalism,” noting that “a cowardly attack” on a commercial oil tanker was not something to be proud of or praise.
“So how can attacks on an elementary school in Minab, a sports club in Lamerd, a wedding ceremony in Kuhestak, and other civilian sites be dismissed merely as a ‘mistake’ or ‘targeting error’?” the OIC mission deplored the US military for evading responsibility for these attacks.
It noted that the CENTCOM statement was a clear acknowledgment of “all the barbaric crimes committed by the US terrorist forces during the aggressive and illegal war against Iran.”
You cannot invoke “precision” whenever it suits you and call it a “mistake” when civilians pay the price; the Iranian mission further reminded the United States and its military in the West Asia region.
