Nournews: Mojtaba Ghahremani, speaking on Saturday during a visit to the targeted residential property, said expert examinations had determined that the weapons used were precision-guided munitions.

According to Ghahremani, technical investigations, data analysis of the recovered fragments, and a detailed examination of inscriptions, barcodes, and warning labels engraved on the projectile debris had made it possible to identify the nature of the weapons “precisely and beyond dispute,” establishing their connection to what he described as the “terrorist U.S. military.”

The head of Hormozgan’s Judiciary explained that the type of military thermal battery used in the munitions and projectiles indicated that a cylindrical component recovered from the scene belonged to a high-voltage thermal battery used exclusively in the flight-guidance systems of U.S.-made precision-guided missiles and bombs.

Ghahremani added that another recovered component was a guidance module and avionics unit from one of the projectiles used in the attack. The component, he said, consisted of a protected alloy casing containing electronic circuit boards responsible for trajectory processing and projectile control, and bore an international electrostatic-discharge warning label.

He stressed that all the evidence and technical documentation had been carefully recorded and officially documented. A comprehensive legal case, he said, would be prepared to prosecute those who ordered and carried out what he described as a war crime, as well as the suppliers of the weapons used, before competent domestic courts and international legal bodies.

“The case will be pursued seriously and decisively by the judiciary until the perpetrators face full and deterrent punishment,” he added.

According to Ghahremani, attacks on civilian gatherings and traditional wedding ceremonies constitute a clear violation of the peremptory norms of international humanitarian law and the four Geneva Conventions. He said the evidence and fragments recovered from the scene provided irrefutable proof of the nature of the weapons used and those who supplied them for what he described as the act of aggression.

During his visit to the site, the head of Hormozgan’s Judiciary conducted a field assessment of the dimensions of the attack, met with and offered condolences to the families of those killed and injured, and issued the necessary judicial orders for the thorough documentation of the incident, the collection of evidence, and the legal and judicial pursuit of the case.

On August 31, U.S. forces attacked the venue of a wedding ceremony in the port city of Koohestak in Hormozgan Province. So far, the deaths of five people, including a five-year-old child, have been confirmed. Around 70 other wedding guests were also injured and transferred to medical centers.
