Participants in the 40th International Islamic Unity Conference have called for turning unity into a practical approach among Muslim nations and governments, urging Islamic countries to strengthen cooperation.

The participants described Palestine as a test of Islamic solidarity, condemning Israeli atrocities in Gaza, Palestine, and Lebanon, and emphasizing support for legitimate resistance against occupation and aggression. They said the Palestinian issue has moved beyond sectarian divisions, becoming a point of convergence for Muslims.

Countering division

The statement warned that sectarian incitement, hate speech, attacks on religious sanctities and extremist violence are among the tools used to weaken Muslim societies. It called on scholars, intellectuals and media organizations to promote dialogue, mutual understanding, and solidarity.
