Congratulating al-Hayya on assuming his new position, President Pezeshkian expressed hope that, with divine assistance, his tenure would contribute to serving the Palestinian nation, the resilient people of Gaza, and further enhance their dignity and honor.

The President also paid tribute to the Palestinian martyrs, particularly on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Ismail Haniyeh, offering his condolences. Referring to Haniyeh's assassination during a visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran, he described the act as a "cowardly crime" committed by the Israeli regime.

Praising the patience, perseverance, and resilience of the Palestinian people in the face of what he described as the Israeli regime's crimes, Pezeshkian stressed that the hearts and minds of the Iranian people and officials have always stood with the oppressed people of Palestine. He reiterated that the Islamic Republic of Iran would continue to support the Palestinian people to the fullest extent possible.

The President also commended Khalil al-Hayya's role in promoting coordination among Palestinian factions, stating that the Islamic Republic of Iran would support any measure, initiative, or decision adopted by Palestinian leaders during the negotiation process.

Referring to the recent attacks by Israel and the United States against Iranian territory and the broader regional situation, Pezeshkian emphasized that despite these challenges, the Palestinian issue remains central to Iran's foreign policy and continues to be regarded by the country's officials, policymakers, and Supreme Leader as the foremost issue facing the Muslim world.

Wishing the Palestinian people health, dignity, and victory, the President reaffirmed Iran's ongoing support and stated that Iran would spare no effort in assisting the Palestinian nation.

He also called for strengthening unity, solidarity, and convergence among Muslim countries to safeguard the interests of the Muslim Ummah.

In another part of the conversation, Pezeshkian asked al-Hayya to convey his greetings to other Palestinian officials and resistance members, saying that unity and solidarity among Muslim nations could pave the way for the triumph of truth over falsehood.

The President further stressed that the Islamic Republic of Iran has always supported—and will continue to support—the oppressed, resilient, and heroic Palestinian people, adding that Iran would work to expand cooperation among Muslim countries, reduce existing differences, and promote greater unity and cohesion across the Muslim world in confronting common challenges.

During the call, Khalil al-Hayya, Head of Hamas's Political Bureau, honored the memory of Ismail Haniyeh and said that his assassination in Iran symbolized the shared blood, destiny, approach, and common positions of the Muslim Ummah regarding the Palestinian cause.

Al-Hayya noted that President Pezeshkian assumed office at the same time as Haniyeh's martyrdom and praised the Islamic Republic's management of critical periods and its handling of sensitive regional circumstances, describing it as evidence of the Iranian government's ability to navigate regional challenges and developments.

Referring to recent regional developments and the attacks by the United States and Israel against Iran, al-Hayya described Israel as the primary source of regional instability and a threat to regional security, asserting that despite U.S. support, it is on a path of decline.

He also praised Iran's steadfastness in the face of threats, stating that the country has succeeded in creating new regional equations. He expressed confidence that Iran would continue to achieve further accomplishments that would benefit Iran, the region, and the Muslim world.

Expressing optimism about the future of what he referred to as the "Axis of Resistance," al-Hayya said the movement would ultimately achieve its objectives and aspirations across different countries in the region.

Referring to the ongoing war in Gaza and the situation in the West Bank, Jerusalem, and Al-Aqsa Mosque, the Hamas political chief thanked Iran for its continued support of the Palestinian people, saying that despite ongoing attacks and pressure, Palestinians would remain committed to their cause and to the blood of their martyrs.

Turning to the political negotiations, al-Hayya said Hamas is conducting the talks in coordination with other Palestinian factions. He added that just as the movement had remained steadfast on the battlefield, it would likewise prevent Israel, through diplomacy, from achieving objectives it had failed to secure militarily.

He also called for benefiting from the experience of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Iranian officials during the negotiation process in order to safeguard the interests of the Palestinian people, expressing hope that political and diplomatic efforts, alongside armed resistance, would contribute to achieving Palestinian national goals.

Referring to Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, al-Hayya expressed hope that the process would ultimately culminate in the liberation of Palestine and Jerusalem.

Concluding the conversation, the Hamas political chief paid tribute to the martyred leaders and commanders of the Axis of Resistance, reaffirmed his commitment to continued cooperation and coordination among allied movements, pledged to work toward strengthening unity within the Muslim Ummah, and expressed hope to meet with President Pezeshkian in the near future.
