Starting on Monday, the two-day official visit includes participation in the 10th meeting of the Iran–Pakistan Joint Trade Committee and a meeting with Pakistan’s prime minister.

The agenda covers 19 key issues, including finalizing the text of a free trade agreement between the two neighboring countries, establishing a barter mechanism, and reviewing bilateral trade agreements.

The two sides are also expected to discuss easing transit barriers and facilitating the movement of Iranian containers through Pakistani ports.

The talks will address plans to develop border infrastructure at the Gabd–Rimdan crossing, create a new road to the Pakistani border, and improve cross-border road transport.

The discussions will also focus on maritime and rail connectivity, including linking the Gwadar maritime border with Rimdan and expanding the rail corridor between the ports of Chabahar and Gwadar.

Other issues include promoting joint industrial production, particularly in textiles, resolving banking and financial obstacles facing traders, facilitating business visas and activating joint border markets as part of efforts to advance a bilateral trade roadmap targeting $10 billion in annual trade.
