Ayatollah Khamenei’s martyrdom strengthens Islamic unity, resistance will not retreat: Yemen

A senior Yemeni official attending the funeral ceremonies for the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution says the martyrdom will serve as a new starting point for the mobilization and awakening of future generations.

Major General Jalal al-Ruwaishan, Deputy Prime Minister of Yemen for Defense and Security Affairs, said anyone who believes the Axis of Resistance will retreat after his martyrdom is delusional.

The Yemeni official made the remarks in Tehran on Tuesday at the head of a high-level Yemeni delegation to pay tribute to the late Leader.

"The presence of the Yemeni delegation at the funeral of the martyred Leader of the Revolution is to offer condolences to our Iranian brothers and to convey this message: that we stand firmly in the Axis of Resistance," Ruwaishan said.

He said the martyrdom of Ayatollah Khamenei represents a new chapter for the resistance movement, not an end.

"The martyrdom of the Leader of the Revolution is a new starting point for the mobilization and awakening of future generations to continue on this path."

Ruwaishan underscored that the late Leader's vision extended beyond Iran's borders.

"The martyrdom of the Leader of the Revolution is a model and example for the unity of the Islamic Ummah. His goal was the unity of the Ummah, not just the leadership of Iran."

The Yemeni official also warned Iran's adversaries. "Anyone who thinks the Axis of Resistance will retreat after the martyrdom of Seyyed Ali Khamenei is delusional."

On Saturday, Ruwaishan met with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, where he offered his condolences and discussed bilateral relations and regional developments.

The funeral ceremonies for Ayatollah Khamenei, who was martyred on February 28 in a US-Israeli airstrike, have drawn millions of mourners and delegations from scores of countries to Tehran.

The body will be buried at the holy shrine of Imam Reza (peace be upon him) in Mashhad on July 9.
