In his meeting with the President, Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi likewise stressed the importance of national strength and the role of the people. He called for stronger price controls, closer market supervision, and measures to improve living standards. He also described preserving the Supreme Leader's position and strengthening cooperation between the government and other branches of the state as essential to enhancing social stability and public calm.
Addressing cultural issues, Makarem Shirazi emphasized the importance of protecting the country's religious identity and called for cultural policies to be pursued alongside economic programs.
