At the close of the meeting, the US and GCC member states welcomed the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between Iran and the US and commended the mediation efforts of Pakistan and Qatar in advancing the process.
According to Al Arabiya, the statement also stressed the importance of maintaining the momentum of the negotiations and sustaining the diplomatic track to end regional conflicts and hostilities.
The US and GCC member states further emphasized the importance of reopening the Strait of Hormuz and ensuring freedom of navigation without imposing new costs or restrictions.
On Lebanon, the statement underscored the need to continue negotiations and work toward consolidating security and stability.
Regarding Palestine, it stated that no one should be forced to leave the Gaza Strip and that those who do leave must be allowed to return freely.
On Syria, the statement reaffirmed support for the Syrian government in combating terrorism and restoring public services.
