President Pezeshkian pointed out his serious determination to expand and deepen relations with Pakistan in all areas of mutual interest and emphasized the need to utilize the extensive potential available in the relations between the two countries.

In this meeting, the Pakistani interior minister expressed his pleasure at meeting with Pezeshkian and welcoming the ceasefire agreement and the end of the war and praised the diplomatic efforts and measures of Pezeshkian and Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, and Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni.

The Pakistani interior minister, who has traveled to Tehran for several times in the recent weeks to discuss the Iran-US negotiations, was officially welcomed by Governor of Khorasan Razavi Province Gholamhossein Mozaffari at Shahid Hasheminejad International Airport of Mashhad.

Senator Naqvi is back in Iran in continuation of Pakistan's mediating efforts after the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between Tehran and Washington known as Islamabad MoU.
