The meetings were aimed at strengthening strategic cooperation in civil engineering, urban planning, and sustainable development.
During talks between Gholamreza Kazemian and Manohar Lal, India’s Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs, both sides emphasized expanding ties in urban architecture and exchanging technical expertise to build resilient cities.
Kazemian also met with his Russian counterpart, Yuri Mutsenk, to discuss coordinating the implementation of the BRICS Ministerial Declaration, smart megacity management, and sharing advanced urban infrastructure technologies.
In a separate bilateral meeting, the Iranian official and Hai-Xiang Xin, China’s Deputy Minister of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, exchanged views on China’s successful sustainable urban development models and Iran’s experience in human-centric architecture.
The 13th BRICS Urbanization Forum concluded its two-day session in New Delhi on June 12, adopting a Ministerial Declaration focused heavily on advancing human-centric urban development.
