Nournews: Vahid Mirhosseini, Judicial Deputy of the Attorney General, regarding the judiciary’s actions in holding domestic trials addressing war crimes by the American and Israeli adversaries, stated: “Currently, 250,000 civil and criminal complaints related to the war crimes of the United States and the Israeli regime have been filed and are being addressed in special branches of the prosecutor’s office and courts.”
He added: “We have good national-level cooperation with a division of responsibilities and active involvement of various institutions in documenting the crimes. Evidence is being compiled both in courts and in specialized branches of the prosecutor’s offices, and we hope that these will soon lead to the issuance of verdicts.”
The Judicial Deputy of the Attorney General continued: “Regarding the crimes committed by the United States against the Iranian nation, based on the Attorney General’s follow-ups, Iran’s complaint has been filed at the Hague Arbitration Court under the Algiers Declaration, and that case is also being pursued.”
Mirhosseini emphasized: “Our colleagues are also diligently handling the U.S. and Israeli war crimes domestically, related to the 12-day war and the Ramadan war.”
He further stated: “For documenting the crimes of the aggressors at the Shajareh Tayebeh School in Minab and concerning the ship Dena, special measures have been taken with the Attorney General’s follow-ups and teamwork from other institutions assigned to document these crimes. Domestically, the necessary work has been carried out, and we hope the case will soon be ready for verdict issuance.”
The Judicial Deputy of the Attorney General stressed: “Regarding the handling of U.S. and Israeli crimes, the evidence and documentation must comply with international standards so that the verdicts can ultimately be enforceable. Necessary coordination has been carried out, and the Attorney General’s Office supervises the process to ensure that verdicts are issued as quickly as possible.”
Expressing hope, he said: “We are optimistic that holding these trials and issuing verdicts will result in the seizure of the enemies’ assets and the collection of reparations.” He noted that, in similar past cases, the Tehran judiciary has already enforced several rulings with seriousness.
Mirhosseini also stated that regarding patients with epidermolysis bullosa, the verdict was enforced, and compensations and damages, according to reports from the Tehran Province Judiciary, have been paid to the families.
Finally, the Judicial Deputy of the Attorney General said: “There is readiness to, in the very near future, complete the evidence, proceed with the national-level group actions, and, with the good cooperation we have, reach the stage of verdict issuance and eventually enforcement.”
