Pakistan Stresses Continued Efforts to End the War; Iran Declares Full Readiness for Comprehensive Defense

Field Marshal Asim Munir, Commander of the Pakistan Army, who traveled to Tehran at the head of a high-ranking delegation, met and held talks with Major General Ali Abdollahi, Commander of Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters.

Nournews: During the meeting, the Pakistani side presented a report on the measures and consultations undertaken to bring the war to an end, stating that Islamabad would continue diplomatic efforts and negotiations to achieve this objective.

 

Major General Abdollahi, for his part, expressed appreciation for the supportive positions of the government and people of Pakistan toward the Islamic Republic of Iran during the second and third imposed wars. He described relations between the two countries as possessing strategic depth and provided explanations regarding recent developments in the war.

 

He described the start of the enemy’s offensive as the result of a miscalculation in assessing the Iranian people and the defensive capabilities of the armed forces. He emphasized that public presence and widespread support for the armed forces had emerged from the very beginning of the enemy’s aggression and has continued ever since.

 

The Commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters also referred to the country’s defensive capabilities, stating that all equipment used during the war had been domestically produced and was the result of the efforts and capabilities of Iranian youth. According to him, there is now no doubt that in the event of any hostile action by the enemy, the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran are fully prepared for comprehensive defense of the country.
