Nournews: During his weekly press briefing with journalists held this Monday morning, the Foreign Ministry spokesperson, responding to a question from Nournews, described as credible the hypotheses raised regarding a possible U.S. plan to steal Iran’s enriched uranium under the cover of a pilot rescue mission. He stated that the possibility of a deception operation aimed at stealing enriched uranium under the guise of rescuing a pilot should by no means be ignored.

Esmail Baghaei added that many questions and ambiguities remain regarding this operation, which constituted a violation of the country’s airspace.

He noted that the area where the U.S. pilot was allegedly present was in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province, while there was a significant distance between that location and the area where U.S. forces reportedly intended to deploy. Therefore, it is possible that the so-called pilot rescue operation was in fact a deception operation intended to steal enriched uranium, and this hypothesis should not be disregarded under any circumstances.

Baghaei further stated that regardless of which hypothesis is considered, what is clear is that the outcome of this operation was nothing but a humiliating failure, which could be described as “Tabas Operation Two.”

He added that they believe this outcome was among divine blessings, helping the Iranian nation after 36 days of resistance, and demonstrating that resistance, perseverance, and defense ultimately lead to victory and success.

Baghaei emphasized that the operation was a disastrous embarrassment for the United States and expressed hope that, by learning from this incident, they would come to realize that aggression against Iran’s sovereignty would result in nothing but defeat and humiliation.

The Foreign Ministry spokesperson also stressed that brave tribal communities and the Lur compatriots played a significant role in this incident. He added that it should be regarded as a positive sign that all courageous and honorable Iranian citizens, with remarkable determination and bravery—scenes of which were witnessed by the world in this recent event—stand firmly in defense of their national sovereignty and dignity.

Baghaei further stated that some had attempted, through misleading narratives, to suggest that Iran’s defense capabilities had been eroded over the past 37 days; however, Iranians demonstrated that the country’s defense capabilities, through continuous strengthening, would thwart any enemy plot.
