Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, in a letter addressed to Muslims worldwide and Islamic governments, stating that on one side of today’s conflict are the United States and Israel, and on the other, Iran, Muslim nations, and the forces of resistance, posed the question: “On which side do you stand?”
The full text of the letter is as follows:
Iran was confronted with a deceptive American-Zionist aggression, occurring during negotiations aimed at dividing Iran. This resulted in the martyrdom of the esteemed and selfless leader of the Islamic Revolution, along with a number of ordinary citizens and military commanders. Consequently, they encountered the national and Islamic resistance of the Iranian people.
You are aware that, with rare exceptions and primarily in the political sphere, no Islamic government has offered assistance to the Iranian people? Yet, the Iranian people, with strong resolve, suppressed the malevolent enemy, to the extent that today, the enemy does not know how to escape this strategic impasse.
Iran will continue its path of resistance against the “great and small Satan” (the United States and Israel), but does the behavior of Islamic governments not contradict the Prophet’s (PBUH) saying, “If you do not respond to the call of a Muslim, you are not a Muslim?” What kind of Muslim is this?
Some countries have gone even further, stating that because Iran has targeted American bases and interests within their countries, Iran is our enemy! Should Iran stand idly by while bases in your countries are used to attack Iran? They fabricate excuses; on one side of today’s conflict are the United States and Israel, and on the other, Iran, Muslim nations, and the forces of resistance. On which side do you stand?
Consider the future of the Islamic world. You know that the United States has no loyalty to you, and Israel is your enemy. Reflect for a moment on yourselves and the future of the region. Iran is a well-wisher to you and has no intention of dominating you.
The unity of the Islamic Ummah, with all its power, can secure and guarantee the security, progress, and independence of all countries.
