Nournews: This year’s Quds Day is taking place in a markedly different atmosphere compared to previous years. Since March 1, 2026, the U.S.–Israeli axis has attempted direct attacks against Iran to pressure the Resistance Front at its central point, namely the Islamic Republic of Iran. This action was essentially a continuation of the same war previously waged against the Palestinian people in Gaza.
However, Iran’s response was not only swift but decisive. The Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic carried out precise operations targeting U.S. bases in the region while simultaneously striking critical centers of the Israeli regime in Tel Aviv, Haifa, and other parts of the occupied territories with heavy blows.
Alongside this military response, the massive presence of the Iranian people demonstrated national cohesion. This year’s Quds Day march by the resilient Iranian population, held under unprecedented and targeted bombardment intended to instill fear across various segments of society, showcased another dimension of unprecedented popular resistance in continuing the struggle against the aggressor and publicly supporting the country’s defenders. The distinctive and unprecedented nature of this year’s Quds Day rally reflected a firm will against foreign aggression and revealed an exceptional capacity for resistance and steadfastness. In this context, Quds Day has become a symbol of the Iranian people’s comprehensive support for the Palestinian cause and the ongoing dynamic flow of regional resistance, completely neutralizing the enemy’s propagandistic efforts over more than two years to suggest the destruction of the Resistance Front.
Al-Aqsa Storm and Two Years of Gaza Resistance
The Gaza war, which began after the historic “Al-Aqsa Storm” operation, has become one of the longest and most devastating contemporary battles. The Israeli regime, with full U.S. support, carried out extensive attacks against Gaza’s civilian infrastructure; hospitals, schools, and residential areas were targeted, and tens of thousands of defenseless civilians were martyred.
Despite this scale of violence and destruction, Palestinian resistance did not collapse. Gaza fighters, over two years of intense battles, managed to pressure the military and security structure of the Israeli regime, demonstrating that the will of the Resistance can stand even against the most advanced armies in the world. This resilience resonated not only within Palestine but also across global public opinion, once again making the Palestinian issue one of the most important political and humanitarian topics worldwide.
The Resistance Front and Changing Regional Equations
Recent developments indicate that the Resistance Front has become one of the most influential actors in regional equations. From Palestine and Lebanon to Iraq and Yemen, a network of resistance forces has formed that has successfully stood up to the U.S.–Israeli axis.
This regional solidarity was also evident in the recent war against Iran. Hezbollah in Lebanon, maintaining readiness and conducting precise missile strikes against Israeli positions, particularly along the northern borders of the occupied territories, and the Iraqi resistance forces, with targeted and effective operations against U.S. interests on land and in the air, demonstrated that the struggle against Zionism is no longer confined to a single geography.
In his first message, the Leader of the Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, expressed gratitude to the fighters of the Resistance Front, describing this solidarity as an inseparable part of the Islamic Revolution’s strategy. His emphasis on continued effective and deterrent defense also signals that the policy of active deterrence against the U.S.–Israeli axis’s aggressions will continue uninterrupted.
Global Awakening and the Increasing Isolation of Zionism
The Gaza war and recent attacks against Iran have sparked a wave of global awakening. In many cities around the world, widespread demonstrations have been held in support of Palestine and in condemnation of the Israeli regime’s actions.
Meanwhile, various segments of society—including academics, political groups, athletes, and cultural figures—through their clear positions, have heightened public awareness of war crimes in Gaza, Lebanon, and Iran, as well as the Israeli regime’s aggressive policies.
At the same time, legal efforts to pursue war crimes are on the rise. Filing legal cases against Israeli officials and their supporters in the U.S. reflects the emergence of a process that could lead to legal accountability for these crimes in the future. However, the performance of international organizations and human rights institutions continues to face widespread criticism, as many have failed to respond proportionately to this humanitarian crisis and have demonstrated, more than ever, their absolute subjugation to the will of aggressor powers.
Quds Day 1404 not only symbolizes the will and national cohesion of the Iranian people but also showcases the deep social support for the regional Resistance movement. The swift and decisive response of the Islamic Republic to the U.S.–Israeli attacks, together with the sustained Palestinian resistance in Gaza, demonstrates that active deterrence and regional solidarity have reshaped the security and political equations of the region, sending a clear message of the power of resistance and steadfastness against aggression to the world.
