“Talking to leaders of Russia and Pakistan, I reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to peace in the region. The only way to end this war—ignited by the Zionist regime and US—is recognizing Iran’s legitimate rights, payment of reparations, and firm int'l guarantees against future aggression,” Pezeshkian said on his X account on Wednesday night.
The Iranian president shared the post after he held separate phone conversations with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
The United States and Israel launched a war of aggression against Iran on February 28, assassinating Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and top military commanders, despite indirect nuclear negotiations taking place between Tehran and Washington.
The two regimes have also killed more than 1,400 civilians, including children, and attacked non-military sites, among them schools and hospitals.
Within the framework of its legitimate response, the Iranian Armed Forces immediately initiated decisive missile and drone strikes against US bases in the region and targets in Israel.
