In their statement on Sunday, the Iranian lawmakers condemned the European Parliament’s resolution as a clear example of intervention in the domestic affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The European Parliament, the statement said, has failed to address the problems faced by the European Union and, in its efforts to cover up this “historical failure”, it resorted to blame game and intervention in the affairs of other countries.
The statement referred to the role of foreign intelligence agencies in recent bloody riots in Iran and said that after their project to stir chaos in the country failed, they sought to pressure Iran through international mechanisms, issuance of political resolutions and intensifying the sanctions.
