The spokesperson for the administration, reacting to recent statements by US officials, labeled the allegations against Tehran as ‘a fabricated scenario’ which is part of Washington’s psychological warfare against the Islamic Republic.

In an interview with IRNA on Friday, Fatemeh Mahajerani emphasized the Islamic Republic’s principled policy of firmly opposing any action that has a terrorist nature.

“It is patently absurd that a country that has suffered the most from terrorism and paid heavy costs in fighting it becomes the target of such baseless allegations,” the official said.

Mahajerani said that the official position of the Iranian government has always been and will reject violence and terror in all its forms.

She described the propaganda moves as “a futile attempt” to divert attention from international realities, noting that the accusations lack legal and logical credibility and are merely designed for deflection and influencing public opinion.

US President Donald Trump has recently claimed that Iran will receive a heavy blow if it makes any attempt on his life.
