Araghchi reflected on hosting his Iraqi counterpart in Tehran, noting that Iran’s neighborhood with Iraq is not merely a geographic border; it is a border of friendship, cooperation, and shared interests.

The top diplomat wrote that the Sunday meeting took place in an atmosphere of mutual trust and sincerity.

The two sides reviewed ways to further expand strategic cooperation, assess the implementation of previously signed agreements, and address issues related to regional security and recent international developments, according to Araghchi.
