Ambassador slams Davos forum for withdrawing Araghchi's invitation
Iran’s Ambassador to Switzerland has reacted to a recent announcement by the secretariat of the World Economic Forum about the absence of Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in this year’s edition of the forum, saying the decision “shows their fear of Iran's voice reaching international audiences”.
Mahoud Narimani described Switzerland’s move as an “unjustified action” which runs contrary to the international custom and decency, and damages the credibility of the World Economic Forum.
“The move also calls into question Switzerland's reputation as a country with a history of neutrality and diplomacy,” the ambassador said.
