“I sincerely congratulate all Christians around the world, especially our Christian compatriots, on the blessed occasion of the birth anniversary of Jesus Christ (PBUH) and the advent of the New Year,” Baqaei wrote in a message on X on Thursday.

He wrote, “This auspicious occasion is a reminder of the shared human and divine values rooted in the teachings of monotheistic religions, which call humanity to peace, coexistence, mutual respect, and responsibility toward one another.”

Baqaei emphasized that Iran, as the inheritor of an ancient civilization with a distinguished history of coexistence among followers of different religions, underscores the importance of preserving and promoting understanding and mutual respect among nations and faith communities.

He expressed hope that the coming year will bring peace and hope for all, and that meaningful steps will be taken toward justice and peace in the world.
