Nouri Ghezeljeh, who travelled to Moscow to develop bilateral relations, met and held talks with Lut on Thursday.
During their meeting, the two sides discussed strategies for enhancing cooperation within the framework of the Iran-Russia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Treaty.
They also addressed new collaborations in animal quarantine to eliminate potential trade barriers between the two countries in this area.
Furthermore, they agreed to establish research stations with participation from both countries and discussed cooperation within international mechanisms such as BRICS and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
Additional topics included advancements in plant breeding and seed production, animal husbandry, veterinary vaccine production, the introduction of advanced agricultural technologies, and agricultural education.
Nouri Ghezeljeh arrived in Moscow on Wednesday for a two-day visit aimed at expanding agricultural cooperation, including trade in grains and livestock feed.
At the end of his visit, Nouri Ghezeljeh assessed the outcomes of the two-day trip to Moscow and the discussions with his Russian counterpart as positive.
Regarding a bilateral meeting with Aidarbek Saparov, the Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan, Nouri Ghezeljeh said, “Since the Ministry of Agriculture Jihad oversees the joint commission for cooperation between our two countries, we had a productive meeting with the Kazakh official.”
He further noted, “The development of extraterritorial agriculture for Iranian individuals was a point of interest for the Kazakh side during our discussions.”
Nouri Ghezeljeh also added that they explored the possibility of Kazakhstan investing in the southern ports of Iran and exporting products from there.
