Araghchi held talks with Fernando Arias González on the sidelines of the 30th session of the States Parties to the Chemical Weapons Convention on Tuesday.

Araghchi landed in The Hague early in the morning. He will deliver a speech at the annual meeting of the signatories to the CWC, outlining Iran’s position on the agenda items.

The Convention aims to eliminate an entire category of weapons of mass destruction by prohibiting the development, production, acquisition, stockpiling, retention, transfer or use of chemical weapons by States Parties.
