Iranian deputy foreign minister meets with Cuban, Armenian officials

Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Vahid Jalalzadeh has held meetings with Cuban Justice Minister Oscar Manuel Silveira Martínez and Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Mnatsakan Safaryan on the sidelines of the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime in Hanoi.

During the Sunday discussions, Jalalzadeh emphasized the importance of strengthening relations between Tehran and both Havana and Yerevan. The talks also focused on expanding consular cooperation between Iran and these nations.

Earlier, the Iranian official met with Vietnam’s Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang, where they discussed the growing bilateral relations and mutual visits by political officials.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Jalalzadeh noted his discussions with the Vietnamese minister, highlighting the positive trajectory of diplomatic ties and addressing issues faced by Iranians residing in Vietnam.

Jalalzadeh is in Vietnam to participate in the UN convention aimed at combating cybercrime, where he also delivered a speech during the signing ceremony.

This event saw representatives from over 72 countries sign the new convention, which was developed over five years of international negotiations to establish a common framework for combating criminal activities in cyberspace.
