European countries and the United States, through meetings such as those in Sharm El-Sheikh and London, claim to support peace, human rights, and Gaza’s reconstruction. However, existing evidence points to an extensive plan pursuing sinister objectives following the prisoner exchange between the Israeli regime and Hamas. Hospitals, medical centers, and food distribution centers continue to suffer severe shortages, and the failure to meet the humanitarian needs of Gaza’s people undermines the image of Western humanitarian efforts. Militarily, Israeli attacks continue, and the West, by focusing on ceasefire propaganda, conceals these crimes. In other words, Western media emphasis on ceasefires and peace claims prevents human rights violations and ongoing attacks in Gaza from gaining attention. This situation indicates that Western actions, while seemingly humanitarian and peace-driven, are in fact a political show aimed at legitimizing their presence and exerting influence over regional developments.
Continuous Presence of International Forces
One of the West’s main claims in this period is the deployment of foreign troops to end conflicts and expedite aid delivery in Gaza. The U.S. has announced the dispatch of 200 military personnel to the region, while France and the UK are cooperating with the U.S. to finalize a Security Council resolution that will form the basis of a future international force in Gaza. Although these actions are presented as aiming for peace and security, historical evidence and regional developments show that foreign military presence often serves as a cover for the West’s strategic objectives. Experience in Syria shows that such forces typically support paramilitary groups and weaken local governments and resistance movements. The main goal of this initiative is to turn Palestinian resistance into a foreign threat against Gaza and disarm them, securing Israeli security at the financial and human expense of other countries. Furthermore, under the banner of security and disarmament, these forces seek to extend their influence across the entire region. Even Israeli media have acknowledged that paramilitary groups active in Gaza are directly supported by Israel, indicating that the West’s primary aim is long-term political and military control, not genuine peace.
Driving Gaza Toward Civil War
Western maneuvers coincide with efforts by Western media to legitimize paramilitary groups. Outlets like the BBC portray these groups as opposing Hamas, while their direct links to Israel have been proven. Among these groups are Yasser Abu Shabab in Rafah, Hussam Astal and Rami Halis, and the ‘Popular Forces’ group led by Ashraf Al-Mansi.
The goal of the West and Israel is to spark civil war and divide Gaza’s population, undermining their unity against the Israeli regime. This tactic has been previously used in Libya, Syria, and Iraq, reducing the capabilities of local resistance. Creating internal divisions, weakening social cohesion, and splitting power among different groups sets the stage for resistance erosion and prepares the ground for Western and Israeli political and military dominance in Gaza. Moreover, Israeli media have explicitly stated that paramilitary groups in Gaza are supported by Israel, and this direct support reflects an effort to alter the internal balance of power in Gaza. The ultimate goal of the West and the Israeli regime is to disarm Hamas, reduce the military and political strength of resistance, and ultimately gain full control over Gaza’s decision-making processes.
Shifting Roles of Perpetrator and Victim
After announcing a ceasefire and holding the Sharm El-Sheikh meeting, the West seeks to redefine the nature of the Gaza war, portraying Hamas as the source of the crisis while ignoring the genocide and crimes of the Israeli regime. Countries such as Germany and the UK continue supplying weapons to Israel while simultaneously imposing sanctions on Hamas. The European Union has also begun reviewing aid for disarming Hamas, without pursuing Israel’s crimes.
These actions clearly show that the West is attempting, by changing the narrative of the war and swapping the roles of perpetrator and victim, to pave the way for further military intervention or political pressure. Simultaneously, by blaming other countries, including Iran, global public opinion is diverted, shifting attention from Israel’s real crimes to false distractions. Overall, analysis of Western and U.S. activities in Gaza shows that actions presented under the banner of peace and humanitarian aid are, in reality, a calculated design to achieve Israel and the West’s political and military objectives in the region. Public awareness and media vigilance are the only ways to counter this complex game.
