Speaking in a local ceremony at Babolsar County, he pointed to the history of widespread sanctions imposed against Iran in the military and scientific fields, stating that enemies of the country were once preventing Iran from importing barded wire into the country but today, these countries are now worried about the high capability of Iran’s hypersonic missiles.
Not only Iranian missiles are the product of indigenous technology, but also a symbol of national independence and authority, he said, adding that this deterrent capability is not dependent on any foreign power and is based on the knowledge and technical knowhow of expert Iranian youth.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Jalili referred to the enemies’ hostile measures taken against the country for ceasing the country’s growth and development, noting that when enemies of the country failed to prevent the country’s progress, they turned to assassinating scientists and scientific elites.
Public participation and contribution has always been the main factor of the country's success since the eight years of the Sacred Defense (Iraqi imposed war against Iran in 1980-1988), Leader’s representative noted and called on the governmental officials to bolster and maintain this social asset in various arenas.
Iran's progress, especially in the defense and strategic fields, stems from national self-confidence, public participation, and resistance and this path must continue with utmost strength, he added.
