Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf strongly denounced the “interventionist and baseless claims” made in the joint statement of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council (PGCC) and the European Union foreign ministers’ meeting, including the repeated claim over Iran’s three Persian Gulf islands—Greater Tunb, Lesser Tunb, and Abu Musa.
The Iranian nation will not compromise with any delusional party over Iran's territorial integrity, Ghalibaf declared during his address to the open session of Parliament on Wednesday.
Referring to the second anniversary of Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, he said the operation, launched by Palestinian resistance forces under Hamas leadership, not only dealt a strategic blow to the Zionist regime but also disrupted the calculations of global arrogance and plunged Israel into a quagmire of defeat.
Ghalibaf added that despite Israel’s ongoing aggression—backed by the United States—that has claimed tens of thousands of Palestinian lives and devastated Gaza, the resistance front in Palestine, Lebanon, Yemen, and the broader region has continued to reshape regional dynamics to the detriment of the Zionist regime, making Israel “the most hated regime in the world.”
He emphasized that the resistance movements, including Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Hezbollah, and regional resistance cells, have maintained strength and morale, while the Israeli regime faces an internal crisis. Citing reports of declining public confidence and reverse migration from occupied Palestine, he said that the Zionists have lost their sense of security and social cohesion.
He reaffirmed the Iranian Parliament’s full support for Palestine and urged international organizations to prosecute Israel’s war crimes. Concluding his remarks, he paid tribute to the martyrs of Al-Aqsa Storm, including leaders of Hamas and Hezbollah, and pledged, “We will stand with the resistance until the full liberation of al-Quds.”
