Stressing the historical ties between the Iranian and Armenian nations, Jaberi-Ansari said history, geography, culture, and joint civilization are not the only factors bringing the two countries closer; rather, Tehran and Yerevan also have common interests and should develop their relations.

Meanwhile, Tsarukyan said information dissemination, producing and compiling analysis, as well as countering false news are among the proprioties of Orbeli Center.

He also expressed interest establishing close cooperation with the IRNA.

During the IRNA delegation’s tour of the center, an expert session titled “Iran-Armenia Relations in the Shadow of New Developments” was held with the participation of experts from Orbeli Center, the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Institute of Oriental Studies, and the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia.

Jaberi-Ansari and the participants discussed the challenges, capacities, and prospects of bilateral relations, considering the new regional developments.
