On the sidelines of an international oil and gas event in Astrakhan on Saturday, Heydarian highlighted the significant role of the Caspian Sea in supplying energy to the region and the world.
He noted that these collaborations will pave the ground for developing bilateral relations in scientific, industrial, and economic fields.
This conference provided a valuable opportunity to showcase Russia’s academic and industrial capabilities in the energy sector and has paved the way for the exchange of experiences among youth, researchers, and international companies.
Heydarian also visited an exhibition of Russian oil industry achievements held at the Astrakhan State Technical University.
The exhibition displayed the latest equipment, technologies, and academic and industrial achievements in the oil and gas sector.
Meanwhile, in a meeting with Deputy Chair of the Astrakhan Government Dmitry Ovchinnikov, Heydarian emphasized developing economic, industrial, and energy cooperation and strengthening the maritime route of the International North-South Transport Corridor.
Ovchinnikov expressed Astrakhan regional government’s readiness to allocate land in special economic zones to Iranian companies for establishing an economic hub, support for projects of the Mostazafan Foundation.
He welcomed the establishment of an Iranian export terminal in the port of Olya.
