Hatami made the remarks in Tehran on Saturday, noting the strategic role of the Iranian Armed Forces in safeguarding the country’s independence, territorial integrity, and the system of the Islamic Republic.

The top military official termed the military’s preparedness as permanent and highly valuable, stressing that any misstep by adversaries would be met with a forceful response.

Touching on the Israeli-imposed war against Iranian soil in mid-June, Hatami praised the insight and commitment of the Iranian people.

The nation is prepared to mobilize once again with the same sense of responsibility and resolve, he said, if circumstances demand.
