Iran will establish four new biosphere reserves in a significant move toward environmental conservation.
Addressing the 5th World Congress of Biosphere Reserves underway in Hangzhou, China, from September 22 to 26, Ansari announced the creation of four new biosphere reserves.
Touching on the Israeli regime’s brutal attacks on June 13, 2025, she said that Israel targeted Iranian civilian infrastructure, including healthcare facilities, water distribution networks, fuel supplies, and transportation systems.
These attacks, which have impacted water facilities, fuel tanks, and gas refineries, have resulted in increased carbon dioxide emissions and environmental pollution, the official added.
Ansari said that these aggressive and illegal actions pose a serious threat to the environment, human health, and regional stability, with consequences extending beyond Iran’s borders to threaten ecosystems, climate, food security, and the health of millions.
