The village headman of Dayrestan village on Qeshm Island explained to IRNA on Wednesday that the festival includes various programs such as a children's carnival, sevandbafi, mogh pazidan (climbing a palm tree), the rezif or azva ceremony, the dabheya playing by children, zagar, liva, oud playing, jaffini playing, a goat and asurik tree show, the iron cow ceremony, and halva making.
Mahmoud Abuli Dayrestani continued: "The main goal of holding this festival is to increase public participation and involvement, revive indigenous knowledge, develop tourism and brand Qeshm Island by relying on ancient indigenous rituals, reach the global village, and revive the palm groves of this village."

According to him, the festival, with the slogan "The Green Heart of the Blue Island," which symbolizes the combination of agriculture and the sea as the two main sources of livelihood for the people of this village, will begin on Thursday (September 18) at 4:00 PM with a date sweet competition and a performance of the local Dar Top game by the women of the local community at the Dehil Ecolodge in Diristan village.
The village headman of Diristan added: On Friday (September 19), a children's carnival will be held in the village's Alishahi palm grove, along with performances of local oud and jaffa music, a goat and asuric tree show, an iron cow ceremony, and halva-making.
He said that this folk festival is being held with the efforts of the Qeshm Free Zone Organization, the Islamic Council of the village, and the local community of this village.
Abuli Dayrestani said that the registration of the Dayrestan Agricultural Nowruz in Bahman 1403 in the official calendar of tourism events of the Islamic Republic of Iran has recognized the importance of this summer ritual and has paved the way for the development of rural cultural and economic tourism.

As one of the greenest villages on the world-famous Qeshm Island, with the largest number of palm groves and a variety of garden products such as mango, anbo (sepistan), lemon, banana, fig and olive, Dayrestan Village will host visitors to this summer festival.

In the “green and blue heart” of Qeshm Island, the Agricultural Nowruz is a unique opportunity to revive the indigenous heritage and traditional rituals of Diristan Village.
The festival revives centuries-old knowledge of local agriculture and horticulture, and by bringing together people, researchers, and tourists, it introduces a new generation to the ancient bond between humans and nature.
Each section of the Agricultural Nowruz is a living representation of rural life and the island's agricultural culture.
