The IRGC issued a statement on Sunday on the occasion of Government Week in Iran, which started on the same day, ending on August 30 that marks the anniversary of the assassination of former President Mohammad Ali Rajaei and then Prime Minister Mohammad Javad Bahonar, who lost their lives in a terrorist bombing in Tehran in 1981.
The statement congratulated all government officials on the weeklong occasion, describing it as a valuable opportunity to reflect on the principles of selfless and dedicated service exemplified by martyrs such as Rajaei and Bahonar.
The IRGC noted that in the face of complex regional and global transformations, Iran continues to advance with resilience, guided by the wise leadership of Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei. It recognized the efforts of the incumbent administration in addressing national needs and supporting the Armed Forces, particularly during the June conflict with the Israeli regime and the United States.
Furthermore, the IRGC reiterated its strategic commitment to assist the government in national development and infrastructure projects, demonstrating its pivotal role in advancing the goals of the 1979 Islamic Revolution and improving citizens' quality of life.
The statement concluded with a pledge to stand alongside the government and the people, emphasizing that a strong bond among these entities is crucial for realizing the vision of a powerful Iran. The IRGC also honored the sacrifices of martyrs in the nation's defense and wished success to all dedicated officials, especially President Masoud Pezeshkian.
