Head of the Iranian student teams Mehdi Rashidi Jahan highlighted the students' outstanding performances in the two global events.
He noted that the Yakutia International Science Fair in Russia is a reputable scientific event aimed at enhancing science education, identifying young talents, and fostering scientific exchange among countries. This competition, hosted by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Yakutia, received support from prominent scientific institutions and universities in Russia, he added.
During the latest edition of the competition, held on July 7, 129 teams from 10 countries presented their projects in various fields, including engineering, computer science, information technology, and biomedical sciences, Rashidi Jahan explained, saying that the Iranian team secured six top positions in this round of competitions.
He detailed the achievements of the Iranian teams by discipline: In the fields of computer science and information technology, a team won second place, and another team earned third. He also emphasized the impressive performance of Iranian representatives in engineering, with all three participating teams earning medals.
He also highlighted the International Olympiad of Inventions and Innovations in South Korea, noting that the prestigious event draws hundreds of teams from around the globe to Seoul National University each year.
In the 2025 edition, 313 teams from 28 countries presented their innovative projects, and the Iranian team secured three colorful medals, he added.
