Grossi: IAEA inspectors must have full access to Iran’s nuclear sites
Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (), told the UN Security Council that inspectors must be granted full access to Iran’s nuclear facilities. He warned that the window for diplomacy is closing and stressed that talks should remain a priority.
Grossi emphasized the need for transparency and said there is only a limited opportunity left to return to the negotiating table. He reiterated that inspectors must have unrestricted access to monitor Iran’s nuclear activities.
He also noted that no individual or organization is currently able to accurately assess the damage at the Fordow nuclear facility. According to Iran, there has been no reported increase in radiation levels following recent attacks.
The has repeatedly stated that nuclear sites must not be targeted and that their security is essential for maintaining oversight and monitoring efforts.
