The O.F.A.C. has designated one individual and eight entities, and identified one vessel as blocked property, for their involvement in the procurement and transshipment of sensitive machinery for Iran’s defense industry.

The vessel, SHUN KAI XING, owned by Hong Kong-based Unico Shipping Co. Ltd, was carrying this machinery for O.F.A.C.-designated Rayan Roshd Afzar Company and Towse Sanaye Nim Resanaye Tarashe, the O.F.A.C added.

The U.S. remains resolved to disrupt any effort by Iran to procure the sensitive, dual-use technology, components, and machinery that underpin the country’s ballistic missile, unmanned aerial vehicle, and asymmetric weapons programs, said the statement.

The announcement of sanctions comes days after the Israeli regime, a U.S. ally, launched strikes against the territory of the Islamic Republic.

The Israeli regime attacked Iran, including residential buildings in Tehran, in an unprovoked act of aggression overnight on June 13. Top Iranian military officials were assassinated in targeted strikes. Civilians were also killed when houses were directly struck.
