In the meeting, the Iranian foreign ministry official (director general Asia and the Pacific Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs) protested Australia's hypocritical approach to regional developments and emphasized the Islamic Republic of Iran's "inherent right to legitimate defense."
He also condemned the silence of the international community regarding Israel's repeated aggressions against Gaza and Lebanon.
The Iranian diplomat further warned the Australian government and the international community that their silence would embolden the aggressor Zionist regime.
In the meeting, the Australian ambassador explained the movements and actions of his government to reach a ceasefire in Gaza and Lebanon and announced that he will convey Iran's official protest to his respective government.
