NOURNEWS- The death toll from Israel’s relentless attacks on Gaza has reached 21,110 since the regime waged its war on the Palestinian territory on October 7, the Health Ministry in Gaza announced on Wednesday.
The ministry said that the total number of the injured people has also risen to 55,234.
Over the last 24 hours, 195 people were killed and over 300 injured in attacks across Gaza, it added.
The ministry warned that the Israeli regime has intensified its attacks around Nasser Hospital in the southern city of Khan Yunis, calling for international help to ensure the security of staff and patients at the facility where thousands of displaced Palestinians have taken shelter as well.
Hospitals and areas around them have been among the main targets of the Israeli air campaign since the war began, with different UN agencies warning that the majority of the facilities have stopped functioning, which they say has deteriorated the humanitarian situation already dire due to severe shortages of food and water.
According to official figures, the war has displaced 90% of the population in Gaza.
