NOURNEWS- Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Kani has traveled to Thailand with the aim of holding talks with Thai officials on different bilateral, regional, and international issues as well as enhancing mutual relationships.
At the beginning of his trip, Bagheri Kani took part in a press conference at the Iranian embassy in Bangkok earlier this week and answered questions raised by several correspondents.
After the press conference, the senior Iranian diplomat held talks with high-ranking Thai officials, including the speaker of the National Assembly, the deputy prime minister and foreign minister, the deputy foreign minister, and the acting head of the National Security Council.
In separate meetings, officials of the two countries underlined the need to develop ties in all fields, mainly in the economic and tourism sectors, and mentioned the amicable and longstanding relationship between the two nations over the last four centuries.
At the end of his trip, the Iranian official also joined an exclusive interview with Thailand's Nation TV channel, when he answered reporters’ questions.
