What happened in the fourth session of the regional security dialogue?

Issues such as the need for an inclusive government, the responsibility of the Taliban as the current ruler to prevent terrorist groups from operating and threatening the security of Afghanistan's neighbors, countering drug trafficking and providing immediate humanitarian assistance to the people of this country were emphasized by all participants.

NOURNEWS - This morning, Friday, June 27, the fourth regional security dialogue session with the participation of Iran, Russia, India, China, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, hosted by Tajikistan, began in the capital Dushanbe.

"Political, social, security and economic conditions in Afghanistan are in a very bad situation and the development of terrorism, extremism and drug trafficking as a threat," said Nasrullo Mahmudzoda, Secretary of the National Security Council of Tajikistan, at the inaugural meeting. "The public is deeply concerned about its neighbors and other countries in the region."

Emphasizing the common responsibility of all countries in the region to help establish an inclusive government with the presence of representatives of different ethnicities, religions and political groups in Afghanistan, he added: "It's very important that this meeting can make a significant contribution to that."

Following the Fourth Regional Security Dialogue, senior national security officials from the countries present at the meeting expressed their views on the situation in Afghanistan and the mechanisms that should be adopted to get the country out of the current unstable situation.
